TV4: Annual accounts 2004 |

* Net sales during January to December were SEK 2,330 million (2,261
last year). Earnings after net financial income/expense was SEK 44
million (116). Earnings after tax were SEK 30 million (82);
earnings per share were SEK 1.48 (4.10).
* Due to a loss of advertising market shares and increased
programming expenses, the yearly result is weak. Also the cost for
new channels has increased.
* Fourth-quarter revenues rose by 5 per cent and profit improved
somewhat. TV4 TV channel advertising revenues rose by 3 per cent.
* The importance of pay-TV revenues is steadily growing. TV4 has
concluded an agreement with Viasat on distribution of TV4, TV4 Plus
and TV4 Film using the Viasat platform, and an agreement has been
reached with Telia and Fast-tv on distribution via IP telephony.
* TV4 and TV4 Plus achieved a 25.7 per cent audience share during the
year (25.7). Scheduling changes have attracted more viewers among
the younger target groups.
* TV4 Film, which was launched in April 2004, has exceeded
expectations and now reaches 690,000 homes. The channel made a
profit in the fourth quarter.
* The advertising market improved in the fourth quarter. TV4 channel
and lokal-TV revenues in January - February are expected to
increase by approximately 4 per cent.
* The Government has extended TV4's broadcasting licence until the
end of January 2008, when the analogue terrestrial network will be
shut down.
* The Government has proposed that the franchise fee be reduced from
the second half of 2005.
* The Board of Directors and Managing Director propose a dividend of
SEK 2,50 per share
